TTM2 Trial Results Presentation

The TTM2 Trial Results Livestream from Lund, Sweden

Welcome to the 497th Critical Care Reviews Newsletter, bringing you the best critical care research and open access articles from across the medical literature over the past seven days. Apologies, it's slightly late, but it's been quite a week!

This week's newsletter is dominated by the landmark TTM2 trial results presentation, which we were fortunate to have the privilege to livestream last week. If you haven't yet either read the paper or watched the livestream, please do so. The results presentation was expertly delivered by chief investigator Niklas Nielsen, coordinating investigator Josef Dankiewicz, and long term follow up investigator Gisela Lilja. This was followed by a superb editorial by Stephen Bernard from Melbourne, the chief investigator of one of the original hypothermia trials 20 years ago. Questions from the audience were delivered by Phil Gillen. The session finished with a panel discussion including Jerry Nolan, an expert in resuscitation and cardiac arrest guideline formation, Kathy Rowan, the chair of the Data and Safety Monitoring Board for TTM2, and Terri Hough, an experienced intensivist and trialist, with an interest in long-term outcomes following critical illness.

If you have a question for the TTM2 team, please This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and I'll try to put it to them in a follow-up podcast we're planning over the next few days.

I hope you find this newsletter useful.

Until next week
